Smart Phone OBD II Apps
Is anyone using any of the smart phone apps that connect to the OBD II port to analyze data for every day driving or track days?
I was interested in getting gone and was just wondering which the better apps are for Porsches.
I've read some reviews on a couple products and they are hit or miss regarding people liking them.
Thanks

I use Torque on my Droid2 with a bluetooth OBDII on my 04 986S. The data is great, but the refresh rate of 1Hz for GPS and about 2Hz for OBDII is just too slow for autocross, though, so it hasn't been very useful for anything more than curiosity. I think it would work better on the track.

Torque is THE app to get.
What adapter you end up with is really your choice.
For me the inexpensive Elm 327 works just fine.
For a total of about $30 for software and OBD2 reader you really can't go wrong.
If you find you need a faster update rate, you can at that time get a better reader.

Soliport ELM 327 Bluetooth OBDII OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner was bad on arrival, didn't work in 3 cars, the Torque app kept crashing my Evo, even with pandora Bluetooth turned off. iPhone revo app requires wifi OBDII reader.
I believe I'll wait a while.
