my new to me 05 997
I have been waiting a long time to own my first porsche, probably since i have been 14 or so (now 37). Well yesterday the car was delivered to me. When i told my 7 yr old guess whats in the driveway he jumped out of bed and yelled out "the porsche" and ran out in his boxer shorts to see it.

The car has 29,000 miles on it but it has a brand new engine with only 500 miles on it. Its a factory porsche engine from germany, replaced by an authorized porsche dealership.
I cant wait to put miles on it and get it on the track!!

congrats! nice color and options. did you get the history on the engine failure? If you're already planning for the track, you know the drill..... MOD Away!!

Great meeting you yesterday at the Porsche BBQ. The car is beautiful, one of my favorite colors. You've set the bar high for your seven year old, good! Both of you will enjoy the windshield time, I'm just not sure who will be smiling brighter. Again, congratulations!

Congratulations, that looks like a great ride. I've seen you on here, posting and asking questions, so it's great to see your found an example to buy. Now get out there and drive that thing!

Thanks guys, i have been driving it all weekend. Now i am looking at websites for mods and things. I plan on getting it on the track soon as well.
Eddie it was great meeting you and your family.
My son sits in the back and i see him through the rear view mirror relaxing and listening to the engine.

Indeed. My two boys love sitting in the back, listening to the engine.
So fill us in on the details of the purchase ... where did you find it? Any stories driving it home for the first time?
