I hope his review is done after a good 200-300 miles on the road. Brand new tires always feel better than the old/hard tires they replace, and they need breaking-in.

I have them on my 2007 TT. So far so good. Feel and handling are good.

They also look good.

Awesome tires, far better than the BridgeSTONES they replaced. I have had them on for close to 400 miles and they stick nicely.

I do not believe it is necessary to wait for the N rating. There is more than enough information about the testing that was done to show these tires should more than suffice on our cars. The tires are stamped "extra load" and I don't think the N stamp from the "Porsche Pope" matters.

I had them installed about 3 weeks ago on my 4s and I am very happy with them. The pilot sports I had were pretty worn when I bought the car so anything would have been an improvement. I feel the ride is much improved, they seem quieter and performance seems great (although I am not a tracker). Dealership said they have installed more than 12 sets and only had 1 complaint...but also said the guy that complained complains about everything.

The Price and tread wear are a plus.

About the N rating...The dealership said N rating would only effect CPO if there was an issue with the suspension. They said, if the case, I would need to replace with N rated tires while they worked on it or they could put a set on for me for a "slight fee". He also said technically if I used roadside assistance and it didn't have N rated tires they aren't supposed to tow you! He also said, "between you and me no towing service would probably know that."

Bottom line....bought them, love them and saved a few hundred bucks......which I spent at Adam's polishes.

Had mine installed on my C4S Monday this week. Will be on a driving tour with the local PCA club tomorrow on the Olympic Peninsula to help break in. We may have 40 or so P cars enjoying 75+ degree weather in the Pacific NW. Finally.

I've had my super sports for 2700 miles, including two DE days and two AX events. I have another AX this weekend.

They replaced my previous PS2's, which I corded in 2700 miles. (Not as bad as it sounds; 5 tracks days and 2 AX events, had to replace front pads as well as all 4 tires.) Compared to the PS2's they feel a little more stable and turn in better on the track. To be honest though, I also changed (maxed out on stock suspension) the neg. camber on front and rear wheels at the same time I installed the tires, so the improvement isn't wholly attributable to the rubber.

With that said, IMHO they're at least as good as the PS2's they replaced AND they were significantly less expensive. I've run RE050's, PZero (N2), PS2's and now PSS's on my last two 911s and the PSS's are my favorites so far. Michelin claims the PSS's will get 50% more track mileage than the PS2's. That remains to be seen, but so far so good.

I did 3 track days this year on my PS2s before changing to PSS this week. Still on the fence about one or two more DE events this year on the PSS. Not yet into dedicated track tires but the PSS price point makes this more possible than not.

I'm putting a set on next week and will be at the Glen with NNJR Aug 5-7. If you plan to be there stop by and I'll give you my impressions. Black 997 2S #177. I'll post a followup when I get back.

The comments regard the new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. It's performance is supposed to be somewhere between the PS2 and the Sport Cup with better wear than the PS2 at a lower price than the PS2.

There are several topics on these tires on multiple sites. We used to call the guy that took the first jump of that day at the drop zone a wind dummy. I guess I will be a tire dummy.
