Not really. Simply being matte doesn't have a thing to do with radar detection. What you may be thinking of is RAM. Radar Absorbing Material. Completely different, and radically expensive. And it has to be maintained. Matte finishes are popular on certain military aircraft to lower the chance of sun reflecting off it and giving its position away.

That is beautifully done. First rate.

Occasionally Porsche will paint a car flat black--I saw a 959 many years ago at the factory that was done that way.

That looks amazing, can someone clarify, was this a factory option or was it aftermarket?
cheers

It was said, that it's factory paint directly from Porsche.

325's?! Good gravy, that's alotta tire. Would love to see a ground level pic of those.

Love the paint though you could have just used some duraliner to get the same effect.

So Matt has a matte finish C4S. Coincidence? I think not.

absolutely love the matte black. very nice job

I have always purchased black cars. When I was shopping for the 911 I told myself, "no more black". But the car I really wanted happened to be black and they sure do look good when they are clean. The matte finish would greatly reduce the amount of attention needed to make it look good.

I saw a Porsche just like that at Pfaff few weeks ago, I wonder now if that was yours?
Btw, it looked even better in person.

Just to end up as I know there was some questions on this unique matte paint
I finally got to wash it.. compared to all my past black cars and other C2S and Boxster we have.. this is unconditionally the easiest car ive washed .. no streaks.. no wash rings..or soap stains..

Washed and shammy'ed .. next time Ill try drip drying it and see what I get..

I think Im gonna be happy with the maintenance for once on a black car

Matt
