More Porsche Marketing - Living with a 911

Seems like the vid was a piece by Automobile magazine, not Porsche marketing. Anyway, thanks for posting it; I enjoyed it. Listening to the Automobile editors talk about how much they'd like to own a 911 is a reminder of how lucky we are to own and drive one everyday.

I just glanced at this article in the current Automobile Mag., which is out on book store shelves, just yesterday. Mainly only looked at the photos of the GTS, as the article didn't seem performance oriented. But I did enjoy viewing this video version of the same artcle, thanks for posting.

"It could do 95% of the things I need to do." The perfect car for one or two people. My wife is amazed at how large the front trunk is. I bring my 911 to Publix and get 10 plastic bags in there!
Way to go "Automobile".

I went to Cosco last weekend and bought a ton of stuff uncluding a 20lb bag of flour and 10lb bag of sugar. I got it all into my Pcar. I did have to use the front passenger floor for one of the sugar. The frunk space was used up with the bounty towels and bag of flour. I got a few crazy looks from people while loading up the car. It definitely took some planning.

The wife was amazed when she saw how deep the trunk was. However, I don't think she was paying attention when I tried to show her how to open and close it properly.
When I load the usual 5-11 plastic grocery bags at the Publix parking lot, quite often I draw an audience:
1. They seem fascinated by the front trunk.
2. They can't believe I get all that stuff in the front trunk.
3. I pretend I don't see them watching me.

i loved/miss my 911, it was by far best DD i had...
put 80" long boards inside when i was redoing some stuff in the house,
put tons of folded boxes in it when i needed to box wheels
then put the boxed wheels in the car,
tires in it to go to the shop and swap the rears out,
4 people on a 4 hour trip without any real problems (short people in back of course)
except for going furniture shopping i never had a need for additional space, and the furniture store delivered for 89$ anyways.

"The only downside to driving this 911 is that, I know that when I return from the airport, I know it's not going to here waiting for me." (as the Valet zooms away in it, on way to chop shop...).

The GTS gets a lot of looks driving around town, mostly I'm sure due to the white/black color combo. After the initial glance, I get more stares and pointing once they notice the car seats w/kids in the rear.
At daycare, someone comments almost every week.

PURE MARKETING! As much as it's a great daily car (my only vehicle), some claims were totally bogus, like when the first guy claims "even I got into the back and I found it was quite comfortable"! ... well, unless you're under 5', the back is definitely NOT comfortable!
