^Doc GTO, I guess what I'm saying is if you had the DME flashed, I don't think any stored over-revs get deleted or become inaccurate as you stated earlier.

The over-revs will still be stored as per level but the time line will be inaccurate according to the rep. I'm not sure if I hold any water with his story as well but that's the blabber he was telling me :)

My vote is "sell".

Who knows what will happen in 3 years? Why hold onto a depreciating asset? Lot's of "what-if?" scenarios in a 3-year window.

As for CarMax, I was told by a CarMax rep that their computer system automatically uses a 30% profit line for any offer they make you. Is the convenience of selling it quickly worth a 30% mark-down? You have nothing to lose by asking them to appraise it. But just consider that the low end on what you would get if you tried to sell it on your own.

As for dealer asking prices, to me they mean nothing. The negotiation room these days for any luxury good is huge.

Sell it. Frankly 997s is not a true exotic and will go down in value as it gets older like any other car (dont shoot me for making this comment....I have a 997 as well).

Plus you have a CPO warranty which will expire when you get back

Lastly the 991 is right around the corner....you can get that when you come back!
