time for new tires, sizing question for 997.2
Chairman Meows 2S needs new rubber after 18k miles.
(actually, i'm a bit surprised the rears lasted as long as they have, but inside of both tires are down to the wear bars).
Factory sizes =
235 - 35 X 19
295 - 30 X 19
She has "rubber envy" when she sees my 993 WB with 305s and wants to move up a size.
Have you successfully gone up a size to
245 - 35 X 19
305 - 30 X 19
and not had rubbing issues?
Wheels will remain Stock Carrera Classics, (I think that's what the simple 5 spokes are called), 8" and 11".
Thanks,
Craig

There is no real benefit to upsize the fronts. Stay with the 235. For the back end you can easily go to 305s with merely a 19x11 inch wheel. Recall that the 305 is standard on the 19x11.5 inch wheels. It's not much of a stretch to go up to 305.

go with 235/295 or 245/305 if you got 8.5"/11" rims. if front is only 8" wide then 245 is a bit too wide for it. 235 will be better.
235/305 tires usually do not have correct ratio of diameters - check for tire sizes carefully to maintain proper ratio between front/rear diameters.
