Default A childhood dream fullfilled

I just picked up a 1 owner '06 C2S 6spd with 46k. Artic Silver/ Sea Blue with Adaptive Sport Seats, Bose, Sport Chrono, and PSE for an very good price. Very Happy dad today. Took my 5 and 1 year old girls for a spin today, best father's day to date

I've been a fan of the 911 since I was a kid. In Nov '04 at the SF auto show I got a chance to sit in a 997S when the new body just came out and decided that moment I had to have one day.

I've had a few non 911 cars hold me over cars over the years including a couple of 400hp 300zx twin turbos, a G35 supercharged sedan, and a 02 540i sport. I've been daily driving my '04 Nissan Titan with one of the toys on the side for the last 5 years. 6 months ago I sold a 400hp '07 335i convertible which I owned for only 6 months. It was a fun car but I quickly realized I bought the wrong car and should have pulled the trigger on the 911 in the first place.

So for the last 6 months I've been searching for 993s and 997s. I loved the look of the 993 but was underwhelmed with the drive of it. After driving a few 997s the decision was clear.

My first color choice was cobalt blue with Carrera classics, but they are so hard to find without grey interiors. When I saw this Artic Silver/Sea blue 997S in person, I fell in love with it. The *** seats are especially nice for my sciatic nerve. The PPI came back near flawless. Wifey said go for it, "Happy Father's day". She's known I've wanted one ever since we met and has coped well with my car hobby/obsession.

Feel like a kid in the candy store who won an all you can eat pass!

Cheers,
Sukhi

Useless without any pics I know...it's dark and they're not the greatest.

I traded a 2004 vette in for a 2006 C2 and have not regretted it once. Best move I ever made. Hope you feel the same.

Are you making disparaging remarks about blue interiors?

I'll bet! Every time someone buys a new one and posts pictures I remember what a beautiful car we drive. That's gorgeous, Sukhi. Congratulations.

i notice both cars have contrast stitching on the seats (grey) is this standard on all sea blue interiors?

if one were to order sea blue full leather, would the stitching on door/etc be grey as well, or matching blue like usual?
