Anyone own or driven a GTS with sports suspension? Is the sports suspension too harsh for daily use, and is the additional lowering a problem for street use?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I don't have a GTS but my '09 Carrera S has the sport PASM chassis which is the same sport set up offered on the GTS. Although firmer, I don't find it too harsh for the street at all and we have some pretty bad roads around here. In fact it's an excellent compromise especially if you intend to do any track or autocross. At 20mm lower than the stock Carrera, you have to use a bit more care over driveways etc. although I've yet to actually scrape the nose; just the little rubber fairings in front of the wheels if I'm not careful. At $950 it's a very nicely priced option, especially since you also get a mechanical LSD with the package.

I have a GTS and would concur with Mike's post.
I do scrape my nose just a tiny bit going in/out of my own driveway if I'm not paying close attention.
I don't find the ride too harsh at all, even on the potholed streets of L.A.

its a P17 sport suspension , $960, which is a option on all 911s
It is 20mm lower springs and stiffer shocks and and bigger sway bars, and lock diff.
Its a great deal. and feels slightly stiffer.

I have an 11 GTS now and I find the ride very comparable to my 09 Boxster. Maybe a little stiffer, but not jarring even though the GTS has 19" rims and the Boxster had 18".
One of my worries before getting the Carrera was ride comfort. Although I don't drive it every day, it does see regular use. The bigger wheels and shorter wheelbase concerned me, but for no reason. The car has a great every day ride to it and will really perform when asked to.

I have an '11 GTS with SPASM. My previous car was an '09 C2S with PASM. My GTS is therefore 20 mm lower and rides just a little more firmly. Neither is any problem at all. The only problem is that the front air dam on the GTS is a bit lower than on the C2S. That, in combination with the lower suspension, does result in the occasional slight grind entering/exiting a steep driveway or drainage dip.
I bought the GTS instead of a GT3 because of that very issue. The GT3 is so long and low in the front that it would scrape on everything. Far less of a problem with the GTS but it is easier to scrape the nose than the previous C2S. What the heck - that black plastic piece is pretty cheap to replace!

Thanks for the reply. Is the sport suspension 20 mm lower than a C2S with PASM, or just 10 mm lowe?. I thought the SPASM was 20 mm lower than the regular Carrera, but only 10 mm lower than a C2s with PASM since I think the PASM is already 10 mm lower than the regular Carrera suspension.

C2 with optional PASM 10mm lower
C2S and GTS with standard PASM 10mm lower
C2S and GTS with optional SPASM 20mm lower

My '09 C2S with PASM was 10 mm lower than the non-PASM.
My '11 GTS with SPASM is 20 mm lower than non-PASM but only 10 mm lower than PASM.
Sheesh - it gets complicated keeping track of all this stuff!
And now it appears there's a recall on my GTS centerlocks. Oi !

my 09 Carrera S has Sport Suspension and it is really nice on the street. I feel this should be the default PASM suspension and the Sport PASM could even be stiff for the track.
