Default Family TRUCKSTER!

just got back from a 1600 mile round trip with the family.. Me, my wife, and my 2 girls..people really looked at us funnya t the beach when we were getting in and out of it with the boogie boards tucked into the back glass.

I was a little unhappy with the fuel milage.. the car gets 1-2 mpg lower in the heat which seems alot to me compared to other cars i have owned. other than that, i was very happy with the car. I am only 5.6 and my wife is the same hieght, so our daughters fit in the back no problem.

I did get cramps in my the back of my legs, but i was also doing straight through runs of 10-12 hours at a time..

The Wagon Queen family truckster in metallic pea green. It is an all time classic! I cram my 2 kids in the back as much as possible but we seem to end up with too much luggage to handle more than an over nighter. Good for you. I gave up my convertible corvette to move to my current 2006 C2 "Family Car" so that I could bring the kids with me more often.

I think your lower mpg is probably explained by the fact that it was packed to the gills with people and beach paraphernalia. Higher loading = higher gas usage.
