I do not DD drive (my commute is 180 miles daily...yes...180 miles). The mileage is an issue as is the "perception" problem this car would create.
However; I do take mine on long trips. I am driving over 1500 miles round trip to a family reunion over the July 4th weekend.

DD my CPOd 997.1 Cab in Alabama. Put 6k on the odometer since buying it in January, but most of that is visiting Rennlisters on the weekends (10 mile R/T commute to work during the week).
Car has been perfect, though I did get a dead battery after leaving the frunk open in the garage while on a 3 week business trip. Purchased the CTEK charger, and everything is working fine...
Love my 997. Best DD that I have ever owned - it puts a smile on my face daily!

Daily driver. About a 25 mile commute (round trip). Rain/shine/sand.. I've said before on this forum that my Porsche that "got away" was my '96 C4S that I drove about 18K miles in 5 years. What a complete waste. I made up my mind that this is a CAR, drive it. Love every minute in it. Front end is getting sandblasted by our Florida street detritus, a couple of slight curb scuffs, but the only reason I have a CAR is to drive it (I've really convinced myself this time) and I'm really glad I do. It took 57 years to figure it out, but I'm at peace with the decision!!
