Default Oil Pressure

I've owned my car for a couple of weeks now, and have been very happy with it. Today, I was cruising at about 70 on a city expressway when I noted that the oil pressure was registering all the way up at 5. I was only doing about 2500 rpms. I was at normal operating temp.

When I left the eway and stopped at a light, the pressure dropped to 2.

Back on the eway, and it went back to 5....

Is this normal for this car????? The manual seems to say at 4500 rpms it pressure should be 3.5

Should I be concerned?

I assume you have a 997.1 (2005-2008). With the 997.2 DFI engine, the oil pressure doesnt go to 5 as you described.

If you have a 997.1 - thats normal.
