I posted a near 1 year review a little while back which included my personal opinion of the "clearbra".
I'm still on the fence, to be honest. I do believe it may have saved one or two impacts. The tradeoff is that the vinyl wrap seems tougher to keep as good looking as the rest.
I'm not shy about driving the car in the rain or even (as now) during love-bug season in Florida, but I do clean the car very regularly and the front gets daily attention these days so the bug-guts don't do their thing.
Still - there are bug marks on the vinyl which are visible and probably forever.
My car is black - I keep telling myself that I'll be happy the day I take the plastic off, but the reality is; do you actually take it off?
I'm still thankful for the lack of chips, but not as happy with the daily look.

.... this probably didn't help at all!

Post # 41 on this thread has pics of my C4S: https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ferrerid=76429

Entire painted portion of my car is covered. Call me crazy but my car is a daily driver, gets parked in cinemas/walmarts/hospital doctor parking lots, driven winter time on mountain passes over snow, ice and city roads that use loose gravel for traction on ice. It is only worth it is your car is a keeper and if you care for it's paint finish (for me both those points hold good). The ventureshield bra (which is top notch quality) still looks brand new 15 months later but my car gets handwashed weekly, blow dried after every wash (I don't use any drying towel) and the clear-bra is waxed every three months. I think you should consider wrapping the front not the whole car like me.

Just bought my first Porsche yesterday and it is getting wrapped as I type. I chose to do so as my Lexus RX has been wrapped for 5 years now and is the better for having been done. Both cars have the 3M products installed now. I can't imagine owning a Porsche and not wrapping it to tell you the truth. Its real rock and scratch saver and unless you stare at the car and fixate on the paint you can't tell its there. I guarantee you I will be able to tell you if it isn't there after a few years of chips and chunks taken out. Also, if you don't like it, for the $500 (or less) you'll spend - if you really can't handle - the stuff just peels off like those no-mark 3M picture hangers you can buy now. I'm a huge fan.

For my car I am doing the following:
Partial front hood + partial front fenders kit (as opposed to full hood fenders)
Full front bumper
Headlights
Fog lights
Side mirrors
Door edges
Full rear bumper including bumpettes

I thought the OP was referring to color wrapping a car in vinyl to actually change the color/appearance of the car. Like the Honda boys do, making their CRXs matte black. Gnarly.

I made my car wrapped to avoid the loss of paint colour and other factors.* The Car Wrapping is the best application available for the cars now a days. It is the large vinyl decal for the car. It is directly applied over the original paint of the car. This application allows us to protection for the paint, change the co lour, for using stickers and also many other new applications for our car. I am already using it. I made my car wrapped with one of the local company here. The price they charged was also affordable and they put some stickers on my car. My car is black coloured and with gold coloured stripes in it with it now. It is looking nice and by this there is* no damage exists for the original paint. I think it is not a loss expense. Could produce some attachments regarding their other applications for the cars.

A friend of mine just wrapped his 993 in Riviera Blue. It is so gorgeous. I'm very tempted to do the exact same thing to my 997 but first a little soul searching is required!

If I was going to wrap it...i'd pick a different color I think. Would be fun to change it up.

I considered wrapping my Carrera white 2010's frunk in flat black vinyl with a CF pattern.
Stoneguard AND style all "wrapped" into one.
