NB wheels on WB 997
Hello guys,
I bought a set of carrera sport wheels, for my WB 997 but some how I was thinking the rear wheel only comes in one size.. today I was checking and find out its 2 different sizes for WB and NB..
the question would be if the wheel is ET 67 what size spacer should I get? for my WB.. if ok for spacers would it be free of rubbing or any issues?
thanks

17mm spacers are spec'd for WB cars in the Tequiment catalog for some ET67 wheels. Going from ET67 to ET50 (WB Sport rim spec), 17mm seems right.

You probabluy already know this, but just in case you don't....... you MUST put longer bolts for the rear wheels if you are adding spacers. The new bolts thread length should be stock length + the width of the spacer.

The OEM spacers (bigger than 5 mm) first bolt into the hub, and then the wheel is attached to the spacer using nuts. Here are some nice pics :

One thing to be aware of is that because the Porsche spacers have the lug bolts sticking out, not all wheels work with them. The OEM wheels do, but some aftermarket wheels do not.
If you're considering aftermarket spacers, then for anything beyond 7 mm make sure they have a hub-centric lip, like the RSS spacers do :

thanks for those pictures, yes I was thinking either the RSS or the OEM for the carrera sport wheels, I like the price of the RSS better, what about safety, do they perform the same?
