Non oily ?

Mine did the same and was PDK fluids; transmission was replaced this week under warranty

But you do not mention if your car is manual or PDK...

+ 1 on the PDK fluid. See my post here:

Help - yellow/green liquid now under my 997 C2S Manual

Hi

I came across this thread and I am hoping someone can helpp me as my Porsche dealer in the UK is telling me this is nothing to do with the Porsche and maybe a dead animal or something!. The issue started after a recent service by them and I now get a yellow/green liquid drips under the area around my rear engine and wheels. It seems a watery substance and is not greasey.

The car is kep in a garage and the garage floor is painted with a grey paint - i've taken some pictures with my phone and attached here. Has anybody got any ideas as this is driving me mad as Porsche cant seem to offer any help.

Its a stock 2008 997 C2S Manual with the Sports Switchable Exhaust option.

The car was parked dry when these pictures were taken so it isnt rain or as a result of washing it.

Thanks
Gary

"High pressure pump with O rings" was a re-call on my 09 pdk.

What color is the coolant in your reservoir? it's not uncommon for it to be refilled with green (instead of porsche pink) coolant. if so, my guess would be coolant. if you can get unter the car and actaully take a photo of where it is dripping from.

Sometimes I put a sheet of white paper under the drip over night to get a sense of what's actually dripping.

I had some green fluid on my floor as well. Got so scared I had it flat bed towed to the dealer. Ended up being soap/:biggulp:degreaser from the car wash I had. Pretty embarassing.

I found some mystery fluids near the rear of my car, Garaged.Put my finger in it to ascertain the type of odor. Called the wife to help identify it. Yep, dog pee.

Any animals out in the garage?

Hi

Thanks for all the input. No animals out in the garage and no way for anything to get in or out without me unlocking it. The strange thing is I can't see where it is dripping from. Ill take the advice of white paper to see if I can get a more accurate idea of where it is coming from.

I've just checked coolant also - It's pink and full up. The mystery continues....

That is cat urine! Male cats like to spray piss anywhere and everywhere to mark their territory. Check your rims!

Maybe there is a cat trapped in your garage that you don't know about. Put some food out in the garage to see if it gets eaten. Garage doors closed of course, to check for unknown detainees.

Thanks, it try that but im pretty sure ther isnt anything in there ...but you never know. Strange thing is this never hapenned in many months until after Porsche serviced it. But thay have had it up on a ramp since and can't see any sign of any liquid. The even took me out to the worksho and showed me and it all looked dry. I then drove home (in the dry) put it in thae garage and didnt drive it for a week or so and then looked and I had another another couple of pools of yellow/green liquid. It doesnt seem to have any smell either. Strange.

Thanks for all the input. I'll get to the bottom of this somehow.

somebody or something is jacking you around. Those pictures don't reflect anything I've ever seen originating from an ailing automobile. Seems too widely dispersed and random. Can't wait to know what it is.
