Have it. Like the look. And quite functional when water or snow just sits on the nearly horizontal rear window.

I'm glad I don't need one here (las vegas) and if rains I won't take the car out. Too many rocks and crap gets on the road when it rains here. Granted it doesn't rain much here, but there should be better drainage systems around town for when it rains.

Good one! But I'd worry more about the Hydrogen Sulfate - particularly in your part of the universe (I've seen hydrogen potentials in the low 4s)

Years ago the rear window of the 911 coupes received cabin air through vents along that top window. The venting of cabin air through the vents was very effective at assisting in the shedding of much moisture on the glass. However, as Porsche has chosen to make the coefficient of drag of the 911 coupe much cleaner they removed those vents. At slower speeds and particularly with frozen precipitation the wiper is more important than it was before. Remember that functionality is a key part of the Porsche design.

Rear Wiper is the one option I wish I had spec'ed in hindsight.

You don't need it until you need it and then you wish you had it.

If you have places where it drizzles a lot or gets lots of snowfall, its very handy for keeping that back window clear at slow speeds.

i have one and actually think it looks cool from a quirky, 'that shouldn't be there' point of view. if you live somewhere where it rains, it could come in handy.

I would definitely get a rear wiper if I had the option. Side mirrors are sufficient but a wiper would be better.

DD, in wet/ snow climates. Absolutely.

Otherwise any of the water shedding compounds takes take of it 75% anyways so I'd prefer not to have it.

Mine will be a weekend car only so no way I'd want the rear windshield wiper.

Where do you live that it doesn't rain or snow on weekend? ;-)
