Just stopped to say hello, I'm picking up my first Porsche next
Tuesday, a 2006 997s, I was hoping to get a fair value for my
2001 Phoenix yellow M3 cab, but that car lost so much value that
I decided to keep it (I guess in those perfect summer days it's nice to have a convertible)

These are taken at the dealer's lot. They were only offering 15k for my M3, I was surprised, this car here in Toronto was close to 100k in 2001. I'm making room in the garage for the big sister, I wish I had bigger garage!

Congrats on the new ride.
Recognize this car from the lot at WFC. If you don't mind how flexible were they on the ask price?
Curious as I'm in the market and want to pick up a 2006 - 2007 C2S.

Regards

Oooh cocoa and silver is one of my favorite "subtle elegance" combinations.

Congrats and enjoy!

I've got a cocoa interior too and love the richness of the dark brown. I've been toying with the idea of carbon accents, wasn't sure if it would work with cocoa. But now seeing it in your car, I think it blends fairly well.

+1 on posting a pic of your Phoenix Yellow M3. Back in the day, I owned a E36 Dakar Yellow M3. When Phoenix Yellow came out on the E46, I hated it at first, but it really grew on me. Now I think it's cool and enjoy seeing a BMW in that unique color.

Congrats and welcome! I have the same car with a few differences - blue instead of coco interior being one and PCCBs. I love it. You will be most rewarded with your decision!

here is a pic, this car was (is) bullet proof, in 10 years just a couple of ignition coils ($70 part) I hope the Porsche will be as reliable, is it?

Yes, probably better. There was a recent award (JD power? Forbes?) that named the Porsche 911 as the most reliable sports car in the world.

Thanks for posting your M3, it looks great - just like new!

These dealer trade ins for e46 m3 is horrible these days, they honestly believe its just another car. They are still desirable among car enthusiast. Dealer wanted to give me 14k for my 03 m3 with only 54k miles. Like the OP, I decided to keep it as the car is tons of fun and definitely not worth selling for 14k.
