Default Thoughts on 'paint correction' process

Hey fellas - i have an 08 targa and came across this detailer
who does a multi step process to revitalize the paint and remove
swirls and minor blemishes.
Curious to know the groups thoughts on the 'paint correction process'
as listed on the link above/

theres nothing new about this process. liquid paint is sprayed with air on to a cars surface. it has texture when it dries and is known as orange peel. commonly a painter will sand the car, or block sand the car after painting to smooth down the texture then buff it down to a glossy smooth finish. This is basically what these guys are doing now. only they are not professional paint and body men.

I did a very similar sounding process at California Detailing

It was the best $500 I ever spent. (interior and exterior work)
The car looks new (removed all swirl marks except a few tiny ones that I can't see but they pointed out) and the wax is triple layered aircraft wax and hard-core - feels and beads as if freshly waxed over a year later!
