There's a caution about having the key on and disconnecting the battery and I believe in doing this you damaged the engine controller.
I hope I'm wrong, though.
But if you disconnected the battery for a while and this time with the key off and removed from the switch re-connected the battery correctly and the engine doesn't start...
You're going to have to take it to a dealer, or some shop, that has the computer and know-how to diagnosis this.
Before you do so though if you're up to it, check the fuses. Maybe a DME fuse blew? Be careful you don't static discharge into anything in the fuse box and be sure you note where you remove a fuse and don't over spec a fuse, etc.
Sincerely,
Macster.

There is no reset of the security system. The security system resets automatically every time the key is inserted in the ignition and the key turned to the on position. This repowers the security system and it is a power on reset.
Only a shop with the proper Porsche diagnostics computer and know-how can diagnose the no-start condition that arose after the battery connect mixup.
The DME (engine controller) may have been damaged, or the security system (the electroncs) may have been damaged.
Also, anytime there is any futzing about with the car's security controller the factory requires proof of ownership before it will send over the security acess codes to the dealer to enable the dealer and its tech to access the car's security system.
