I just bought the Suncoast pedal set. Looking forward to the install. I hear self taping screws are the way to go. For those who have installed these what are your thoughts about using self taping screws?

I still haven't installed the Suncoast pedals in my TT. But when I installed the Carnewal pedals on my 997S, as others have noted, its hard to properly align the brake and clutch pedal holes. Also, you need a carbide or similar drill bit, as the steel is hard to drill through. I doubt self-tapping screws would work.

I got the same set of petals from autotalent for $89 shipped. I was going to install them today. Any tips before I start?

One small difference :
Carnewal (as well as Ruf) pedals come from Germany.
The ones with the "Porsche" script are knock offs made in China.
Note that there is a special set for the 996 and one for the 997 with also a different footrest .
