Default 2011 c4s sticker 110k......

A question guys and gals....
How much off sticker, is a reasonable amount to expect? With the new model just around the corner I am sure there are some good deals out there...

Thanks in Advance!

I was offered a little over 100,xxx for a 2011 C4S with an MSRP of 108,xxx. Didn't do the deal but that was the selling price, including destination.

10-12% off msrp is a good ballpark.

It looks like the new model is about 1.5 years away so that won't be a real discount driver for your dealer.

10-12% would be a hell of a deal since that's about all the margin there is in the MSRP.

It all really depends on the dealer, but I'd suggest 10k or close to it is doable.

All indications are that the 991 launch is about 6 months away, not 1.5 years.

Off topic but I remember in my youth wonder how the hell I was ever going to make enough to buy that brand new 993 Turbo at over $100K. Now standard 911s can cost that much, or can atleast with all the options and such.

Don't forget VW said it was wanting to take the 911 further up market, whatever that means. So look for an increase in base price.

10-12% can be a standard reduction in price.

from money side alone 'reasonable' and 'buy a new p-car for $110K sticker' should not be in a same sentence. if you buy a brand new 997 it is mostly because you can afford it and want it pretty much.

from any other perspective as 997 goes away, well, GTS car right now is a good buy for its money but still, imho used 2010 car and good low miles 2009 car will be same as good with way way less depreciation hit to your pocket.

i honestly not sure what is the point to do it now as as soon 991 car will be out it will be more 997.2 cars out there to choose from, it is a given. but it will be 1 good year ahead. still i would not buy 2011 car but looked at good low miles 997.2 CPO cars instead.

Well I need AWD and if history repeeats itself it could be 2 years or more for a 991 to release an AWD variant...at the very least 1.5 years I would think.

So i bought it! basalt black 2011c4s turbo 2 wheels PDK and a few other bells and whistles.. in 15 years i will get the new one..I cannot stomach driving a range rover through another summer!

I feel the same way (about the AWD); today is my build date, so I need to wait for transport etc. Even knowing someone at the dealership, I was only able to get roughly 2% off. They had to trade an allocation to get one at all before September.

10% of MSRP at a minimum.

What dealership in the Chicago area? The Porsche Exchange would be the least motivated to work with you on price, in my experience.

That explains it. You need to get away from the North Shore for more competitive pricing.

I'm confussed. Did you buy it already? And now you want "buying advice"? Are you suffering buyer's remorse?

Go for a drive, and forgetaboutit! I hear it's near 70 back home today!
