Congrats on your dream car. Looks great. Now get yourself a good radar detector so you can enjoy a little speed without worrying as much.Ever hear about the cop who ticketed a parked red car for looking fast. Your Porsche not only looks it...... Have fun.

Pissedpuppy, it was my privilege to serve. Marines pulled my family out of Saigon in '75 when I was 9. Thanks for the note. Semper Fi.
Dartmouth, it's funny but my wife told me to take the Escort Redline with me... forgot it in the last minute dash to the airport. The Redline will soon be a permanent fixture on the new ride when she arrives in Austin.

Macster, that would have been so fun but I just transitioned to a new roll at work. Would be career limiting to take off from work right now.
herman maire, re the interior... the leather quality was similar but the 911's full wrap leather interior was a classic touch vs. the carbon bits with leather on the M3. Made the 911 fell like a $100K car... the M3 was a little too techno for my taste. The 911 seats wrapped me just right without discomfort and I could crank down some more for those DE track days. The M3 had a wider flat back with lumbers you can adjust as well but did not hold me in place as quite as well. They probably have a sportier seat option though. What really turned me off was the mouse/****. We had to pull over and spent 5 mins to dial in a radio station. Kinda took the fun factor out of the my test drive. My wife put it best... she really liked the M3 and accused me of having a bias against it because it reminds me of a sedan. She pointed out all the conveniences of the M3: more back seat room for extra passengers, more luggage room in the trunk, etc, etc... but that's why I got her the war wagon(the Lexus GX 470). It's a great people and grocery bag mover. I get it now... the 911 comes from the other extreme of the spectrum. A race car Stuttgart modified with luxurious leather so you can use it as a DD.
