Hello all,
I am looking for reputable service for my 2005 997. I typically take it to the dealer but I only need an oil change. Any thoughts are appreciated. Typical - average cost is appreciated as well.
Many thanks,
Eric

OK, I'll go first....have you considered changing the oil yourself? If you are physically able (not kidding, I work in a hospital and many of my patients are not), this is the easiest oil change ever. I'm just asking because you can save many, many $$$ and have the confidence that you have been as careful as you would like someone else to be with your car..The only thing that takes time is waiting for the oil to drain. If you didn't have to drain, it might take 5-10 minutes. No lift needed, no ramps needed, just a gentle decline from your garage floor out onto the driveway (I'm making the assumption that you have a garage). There are great threads on the procedure, but if you want a step by step, I'll happily oblige, as I know many others would as well.

eric997florida,
Plus 1 for McCulla.
At the back of your car lay on your back reach for the drain plug. Remove the plug & let the drain begin. At the side of the car behind the right rear wheel lay on your back & reach the filter. As you remove the filter slide the drain pan to the side so it catches the drip from the filter & the pan. I live in Tampa & spend the weekends at the condo in Treasure Island. So if you need a hand send me an email or pm.

Vortex up by the Tampa Airport is a great place for an oil change, alignment and so forth. Sometime Bert Smith has a deal going on oil changes.
