The ad is a bit misleading--"loaded" and "low miles." Not really. Since when is 30,000 miles low miles? I would not go for a 997 just because the price appears right. Don't buy a stripped car. Get something more substantial for hardly any more money, in the grand scheme of things.

fair enough. i think the "low miles" comment is defined by them as 4-5k/year.

the goal here is to find a base carrera, manual, good condition, fair pricing...

No way to get CPO on this one? it'd be nice to have on an '05. I paid only slightly more for an '05 about a year ago with CPO at the dealer and it had SPASM as an option. I do like this sport steering wheel on this one.

it's an independent seller - i can likely get a cpo up here locally for him but i'm primarily concerned with getting a good read on the quality of the car as opposed to anything else.

you can make up for a lot with price

What specifically are you asking somebody to look at? I do not have a paint meter and black is a little easier than some other colors to hide paint work.

Usually these cars at these types of places have been fluffed up for sale so to a layman they look good most of the time.

I am not that far from there but not sure what you want looked at?
