I lowered my pressures to 34 front and 37 rear. The ride is much better and the Super Sports are so much better. I think if you have the 11.5" rear wheels then the 305's are fine but if not then stick with the 295's. There is only a 1/2" difference in width but the 305's weigh 2 lbs. I've had a few sets of RE050's and really like these Super Sports I've been running.

Damon acknowledged the RE050's wouldn't perform quite as well as the RE11's but estimated that tread wear may be about 20-25% longer with the RE050's. Works for me.

Rennwerks in Campbell will install in a couple of days. Had stock PS2's which were great - now a change of pace and a few bucks saved.
For the 305s, the RE050s are approx 1/8" - 1/4" wider than the RE11s. The shoulder on the RE50 is square whereas the RE11 shoulder is round.

Another thumbs-up for Damon. I ordered my complete winter set (OEM wheels/Michelin Pilot Alpins/TPMS sensors) from him a couple years back for my C4S. It was a great deal...

I thought Damon was great too. He helped me select my track wheels and tires. Knowledgeable and great attention to detail and service. I will use him again.

I didnt need to speak to anyone about my tire purchase, but I used Damon's link to give him the credit for them. Bought the SS and had them shipped directly to Custom Alignment in Mountain View. An excellent purchase from Tire Rack and excellent service and care from Custom Alignment.

That pairing is now my default go-to tire guys!

I don't know Damon but I have used Tire Rack to buy all my tires for the past 10+ years. Have always gotten excellent service and the best prices anywhere (even with the extra cost of shipping). Their database of reviews and tests is unmatched.

First time I used them, I was concerned that the installer would resent the fact I did not buy the tires through them. But after a few go-arounds, it has never been a problem.

I will probably go with Pilot Super Sports when my set of RE050As is spoken for. Based on feedback and price (PS2s are too pricey).

Damon is an exceptional salesperson. He's helped me with my issues on my 997 quite a bit. I've bought several sets from him this year and have bought from The Tire Rack for nearly 20 years now.

The Tire Rack actually helped me get some Pirelli's warranted that Wheel Enhancement screwed me on. The Tire Rack has an excellent business model.
