I put another starter in there, it's got a kind of a Japanese sound to it when it starts now, but I think it was like 300 bucks because I couldn't justify the labor for the cable.

Haven't had a problem since and it's been probably a little over a year at least. On the plus side, the headers, high flow cats, Fister sport mufflers and other little tidbits more than make up for the weird starter sound.
