Default what would you do

I recently purchased a CPO targa 4s , 2008.
I noticed the it was handling well on cold roads, no surprise.
So i had the dealership install a winter set. Upon inspecting the
tires the car came with, I was surprised to see there wasn't much tread (3-4mm).
Certainly not 8mm as documented on the CPO form. So I went back to the dealer, they are replacing the tire set and the current management, including service, is new since I purchased the car, were apologetic.

I am thrilled to be getting a fresh set but wondering if any of you would also demand/request anything else, such as compensation for the winter set or anything else. I am not a litigious person and since the current crew is willing to work it out, I do not plan reporting this to BBB etc.

Hell no. They're being very generous. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth.

It would raise the question - Did they perform an inspection or just tick the boxes on the report.

I think they handeled the situation well, as did you. Win-win. If you are going to drive in the winter, you need snow tires, regardless.

sounds good fellas. I am the one who had to have the engine replaced due to a scored cylinder.
since this most recent thing, I had them re-cpo it, with a multipoint checklist so everything else is documented including brakes. I want to maintain a good relationship with them and also the current service team has been very understanding.

In that case be happy with a new set of tyres.

Just a FYI. - Brake rotors are not on the cpo checklist, only the pads are inspected. Isn't that just the best? What else don't they bother putting on the cpo checklist?

Yes there was - basically a ticking noise from the engine, replaced chain tensioner, drove 400 miles, persisted, did engine teardown, found cyl4 scored; so reman. from porsche. currently 200 miles.

I highly recommend doing a proper engine break in per Porsche's owner's manual, and at the 1,000 mile mark, do an oil and filter change.
