Default 2010 Steering Wheel fit into 997.1?

According to Suncoast this http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...de=997S_manual steering wheel should fit the 997.1? Can this be a plug and play? I know it says it needs dealer activation but i have changed my wheel in my 997 many times and is fine as long as you unplug the battery first. Anybody install this wheel into their 997.1?

Thanks,

John

I know but does it need some kind of coding from the dealer?

If you have a multi-function wheel now, no programming. If you do not, programming will be required.

But only if i add the multi-function right? Because the wheel can be ordered without multifunction.

BTW, i do not have multifunction.

Assuming it fits (which I believe it will) what programming are you talking about if you don't have MF now. Just make sure you have the correct airbag (round or triangle). I've swapped 2 steering wheels in 997.1 - both were MF and the replacements were both non-MF - no programming needed.

If you don't have MF now and want MF on new steering wheel, additionally an extra wiring loom and a control module for the steering wheel is required. These fit near the airbag.
Then programming is required by the dealer.
