Help appreciated - 997 2006 4S: When i auto wind up the driver window it goes up 3/4 then goes back down to 1/4 window - if you push the up button it stops again close to the top and if you wind it down it then goes into a lock out period.

I can wind the window up in non autoup mode.

Any suggestions : thanks.

hold down the up button about 3 seconds after it reaches the top. If it won't do that, select down and hold it down about 3 seconds after it is fully down. If nothing works you may have to go to the dealer and talk about a new window regulator.

Thanks Buddy, I just went out and seems to operating normally - however it was an intermittent issue previously - so I dont know why the reset worked.

Was away for 4 weeks and its happened again - reset memory didnt seem to work after a few goes - however eventually reset after ignition off and on again and reset procedute.... hope its lasts this time.

is your battery running low on juice? Dead or weak batteries can cause all kinds of odd issues with electronics. Pcars or otherwise.

Trickle charger doesn't tell you anything about your battery status other than the trickle charger thinks it's charged - you should get the battery checked. I kept a trickle charger on mine, always got a green light after an appropriate amount of time, started one day (slow), dead the next.
