Age is a big factor. You don't want to know what I was paying in Europe under 25 with a new 911s! Fortunately, medical expenses being as they are, the Porsche rates very highly in protecting their occupants, so premiums are significantly lower than one might expect.

28 years old, no moving violations (or accidents) in over 5 years, married, 2nd car that is used less then 7,500 miles a year, $0 comp / $500 collison and I pay about $600 a year. During the months I don't drive it and store it, it only cost like $10 a month because it is covered for fire and theft.

not sure what i`ve done wrong - i have geico for all 4 cars we own and my 997 c2 portion costs $309 for 6 months. i can only guess it is underinsured a bit and may be i need to pay more, but i did not use this insurance for any cars in 5 years so far.

do you have to tell them when it goes into and out of storage? do they take an odometer reading/have the right to inspect where it is?
what happens if during the "storage" months you decide to go for a drive and something happens (even if you're not at fault)?
just curious, my 997 is my DD (and as of this coming weekend, my only car)...
