997.1 after market pedals
My wife got me a rather nice set of after market pedals and foor rest. It came from a sponsor of this site i think. Anyway, the stock brake and gas covers pull of easily, however i cant see how to remove the stock foot rest and gas pedal cover.
Has anyone done this before?
I really want to remove the originals before attaching the after marketso that i can return to stock when i sell.
TIA
thanks

I don't know which brand of pedals your wife bought you, but on most of the ones I've seen (including the ones I bought and installed on my 997.1) the gas pedal and foot rest just fit over the existing pedals. Were instructions not provided?

+1 just bought a pair and have to drill the new ones after removing rubber covering according to the instructions. I remember a set in my 997.1 the dead pedal just popped out and the new one popped in but all others usually require drilling over original ones. Easy to do. 20-30 min job tops! Just need tape/clamp/drill bit and a steady hand! If I do mine this weekend I'll post it at a DIY.

These are the ones my wife bought for me.
The instructions state to remove the footest and gas pedal. But as i say i cant see how to do that. So, is the concensus that i have to add the aftermarket on top of the footrest and gas pedal?
many thanks

I see no reason to replace or put a 'sandwich' on top of stock brake and clutch pedals, they are as good as they are.

I bought these pedals from Suncoast http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...ry_Code=997int. Haven't installed them yet, but they look to be high quality and a bargain compared to competitors.

Are you guys all going for the "doubleheel toe extension" on the gas pedal? this just makes the pedal even wider than the standard extension, right?
I'm thinking I probably don't need it because my fat feet easily cover both the brake and gas even on the stockers.
