Does the Dension BTA1500 use existing phone controls?
Having recently treated myself to a 2006 Carrera 2 (my first Porsche; yay!), I've quickly started looking into my options for adding some Bluetooth pairing functionality to the car. The car has the built-in telephone feature (provided that I insert a SIM card) and I'm looking at the Dension BTA1500 Bluetooth adaptor add on (since I think I'll get the Dension Gateway 500 for audio anyway).
One thing about which I wasn't able to find any information online (including this forum) is whether the BTA1500 works via the existing phone buttons in the car or through some hacky workaround that involves CD changer emulation. Can anyone who uses the BTA1500 or has otherwise seen it in action answer that one for me?

Guney - feel free to email me any questions. Been knee deep in Dension for many years as a primary distributor. Happy to help anytime.

And of course, we have stock if you need the Gateway 500 and BTA. : )

You'll need both the Gateway 500 and the BTA module to get phone access which works great. You can also stream music over the bluetooth adapter and run Pandora on your phone or just play Mp3's without connecting to the ipod or aux connectors. If you want phone only, you can get the NAV-TV tooki unit and install that, they pop up on ebay for around $300. One thing I really had to have was Sirius/XM radio and the best unit I could find for oem integration was the NAV-TV unit. Having said that, I have a Dension unit with BTA in my 997 along with the Sirius hookup.
