'09 Carrerra PDK we custom ordered with delivery on Jan 09. Currently 22500 miles on the odometer. I drive it 1-2 weeks per month to work. I split the mileage between it and the other two cars so no single vehicle accumulates the 32000 round trip commute per year.

My only regrets about using it as a daily driver are:

1. the front paint is beat to hell from rock and salt chips. But it can be resprayed if I ever want to, I suppose.

2. It isn't a great car to pick up dry cleaning in, but it is fine for dropping it off!

3. When I need space for something big, this isn't the car to use. As it is my only car, I'm finding that it really can accommodate a lot of different things if I'm clever about getting them in it. But if I want to buy a new TV I have to have it delivered.

On the other side of the ledger, there is no reason to miss the fun that driving this car provides. Life is too short and takes too many turns to miss the fun when an opportunity arises.
Now that's a real honest-to-goodness daily driver

Three years into it, and I still drive it every day to and from work (a whopping 7 miles), unless it's one of the rare snow days around here. Haven't put winter tires on it, because the garage is too small to store any tires. As of this morning, the car has about 11,000 miles on it. An awesome car -- driving it still puts a smile on my face, every time. It's the high point of each day. The front is getting chipped a bit, but my eyes are getting so bad I can hardly see them any more. Will probably buy the turbo next time, just to increase the fun/adrenaline dose.

67K on a 3 year old is a lot, i was doing somewhat similar when I had to drive 30 miles one way to work.

as i work from home office now i hardly do 10k miles annually on 997. it is 52K miles on it now.

cheapest 18" from tirerack (oz allegeritas?) with PA2? Or if you want to usem them on track later - get them OZs in 8.5" front, 12" rear and choose all-season tires that will fit.

I use stock carrera classic rims 18" 8"f 10"r with PA2 tires. works quite well.

09 C4S. Purchased 09/09. Just over 7K miles. My only car. Only had to take the bus once last year due to snow depth.
