Cut Thru Sidewall on Flat? I Betcha Can.
Here's a pic of the sidewall I found. Take a look at the thickness of the NOT-reinforced-with-wire sidewall section (not the tread).
Now tell me sawing action with a serrated a knife can't be used to easily cut along sidewall!? As you may recall, knife use was suggested to separate big rubber of ruined tire from wheel in order to make the "What-to-do-with-bigassed-flat-tire-before-driving-away-on-spare?" issue easier.
Sorry I'm too lazy to visit the dumpster of local tire shop to get some actual "hands-with-knife-on-rubber" investigation done. Not sure how I would disinfect myself after diving in there anyway.
