Default Spacers with on narrow body car & 305/30/19

How wide a spacer can one go front and rear if you are running a 305/30/19 on the rear with a 67 offset wheels on a 997.1 c2s?

I am thinking of running factory 19" lobsters in the summer 67 offset With 305 s half the year, and 295 in the winter on 19" 997 turbos

I thought about going with a wide body offset wheel with a 295, and only getting spacers in the front.

How wide would the front spacer need to be to match ? Or would it just look goofy at stock ride height? Don't want to lower it cause its a daily driver that sees snow.

Or would it be better to just get narrow body turbos in the rear, and run spacers front and rear to fill out the wheel wells ?

What are the offsets on the front wheels? if it's a 19 X 8 57et, you could run a 13 or 14mm spacer no prob... (or go with a wheel with proper offsets) I don't know if it's relative, but I am running 295/30/19's on Carerra Classics w/ 7mm spacers. They are 67et and there's a decent amount of clearance and a nice profile . I just purchased some 245/35/19 for the fronts and 305/30/19's to try out back; the sidewall is approx .12 inches taller for the rears, which shouldn't be a big deal, but I've been reading where Pcars may not run well with improper tire/wheel sizes...

So you could run a 13-14mm spacer on the front? Wow.. I thought you could only get away with 5-7 on stock porsche oem lobsters and turbos ( someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I think factory lobsters and 997 turbo wheels have the same 57 offset?)

That's quite a wide tire for the front. Do you just prefer different handling characteristics?

If you can be 13-14 mm on the front - how wide a spacer can you go in the back on a narrow body 997 with a 305, and 295 setup in the rear?

Using spacers like any other mod is very subjective. Personally, I have 15mm spacers on my rear Carrera S II wheels (offset 67) and they sit flush with the fenders. I prefer the look of the fronts without spacers to enhance a wider rear track appearance. Most people using front spacers on oem wheels are using 5-7mm.

I'm pretty sure the Carrera S and turbo wheels have the same offsets (57 fr, 67 rr) so you could use the 305's with either rear wheel. Keep in mind though that the 305 will be 5mm more outboard than the 295 so adjust the size of rear spacer accordingly.

So your 15 mm spacers at the back with a 295 result in the tire being flush with the fender? So if I ran a 10mm in the rear with a 305, then it would be flush with the fender the same as yours?

Can you post some pics... Would love to see your setup.

Thanks

There is a very specific reason that Porsche runs (as the OEM) certain size differences between front and rear. I get the impression that your goal is to 'fill the fenders' more than a goal of improved handling.

While most will acknowledge that you want as much tire width as possible under a 911, you must adhere to the differences between the front and rear so that you do not affect oversteer or understeer. Porsches decision to use what they use is based upon thousands of miles of testing to find the right mix.

I chose my Carrera Sports in that they are 8.5 and 11.5 inches wide F & R and are the widest wheels ever made for a 911/Carrera model since 1964. (GT3s are different models with 12 in the back). My standard tires are 235/35-19s and 305/30x19s.

Dang man, is this a typo :-) , or do GT3s join GT2s in having 12" rear wheels?
