Default One-touch window operation

Need advice on this issue; driver's window is one-touch up and down. Passenger window is not, need to hold the button for up/down.

Can I alter the operation of the passenger window to be the same as the driver's or is that something the dealer needs to do?

TIA

This question gets asked weekly. Only way to get passenger side one touch up is to buy a module - check here:

Hmmm. Just to be sure there is not a reset issue. Hold the window button in the up position to close the window. Release the button then hold it in the up position again. This is the way to reset the one-touch feature on the driver's side after removing/replacing the battery........................

Passenger side on my 06 needs to go half-way up first and then it will go the rest of the way on it's own. I believe it's stated that way in the manual. Working as designed. Try that on yours - hold it till it gets half-way up, then let go and see if it doped the rest on it's own

I don't think there's a question from the OP about the intended operation, but rather, can it be changed and how? - and the second post is correct - works great.

Anyone know why it's standard behavior in the coupe? It really is a pain in the ***.

+1. My 07 is the same. Passenger window goes up automatically after it is 1/2 up.
On a side note, I have noticed that the passenger window makes a noise like it is moving up when I turn the ignition key in the first position. Does anybody else hear this when turning the ignition key. I don't think the window actually moves as I have been touching it while starting the car and notice not movement just the noise like it is moving. Thanks

I've heard that it's a safety feature to prevent small children or drunk passengers from getting their head stuck in there.

Really does not make any sense. The window on the cab is one touch. The windows on my Lexus cars are all one touch up and down.

Porsche must have a warehouse full of passenger window relays they're trying to use - can't think of any rational answer.
