It never made any business sense for VW to be in F1 IMO. If Porsche can sell F1 engines that would be good.

I agree with that; their presence would be welcome in this regard and the benefits of "trickle-down" from the R&D involved would be significant...

Besides there's the question of PAG completing the merger with VAG. That, BTW, is disturbing, given VAG's meddling in PAG with executive changes et al.
