The brake and clutch fluid reservoir is in the front trunk, aft, right in front of the driver. Under a little panel. It is INSIDE the rubber trunk seal.

Full flush is typically 1 liter. Some containers are 0.5 liters so be aware of the size.

Just under a litre.

Don't you need more if you're using a power bleeder - just to be safe? I can't recall

BTW, I like this idea. Differently colored fluids. Haven't done it myself yet. Will next time.

Strongly suggest against some of those highly tinted fluids. They will wind up tinting the reservoir plastic. Trust me. When you get the old out and are into the new fluid the difference is very noticeable.

+1. I'd only use ATE blue if you plan to change it very frequently. When you leave those tinted fluid in the reservoir for some time it stains everything. Not that it has caused any prolems for me in the past (used extensively in GTI and Audi), but I once had to change the brak reservoir as it looks like CRAP!

No worries, it's a really smart solution actually if you flush every 3-months or so, of after each track event (some do)... but if like everyone else you plan to flush every 1-2 years, then I'd say Motul is definitely a better option (although the same ATE Super-blue is also available in gold).

Might want to buy 2 litres to be safe. When I did the clutch part (pita) using the Motive power bleeder the clutch pedal was to the floor as instructed and about 1/2 litre shot thru the system before I knew what was happening. Then I raised the pedal up and it bled fine. Pumped the pedal about 6 times and was good to go. Brakes were a snap. Glad I bought extra, used the Ate Typ 200. The blue's the same spec only with the stain as mentioned above. I alternate the blue and amber on my Volvos so I can see when it's thru the lines. Use a lot less fluid that way.

Does $190 at dealer using Porsche Fluid seem high?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think some guys pay more than that for an oil change!
If you figure $125/hr labor I guess that's not too bad. Don't know who makes the Porsche fluid, maybe it is Motul. I wonder if all Porsche dealers actually the 'Porsche' logo stuff or if they use cheaper-branded fluids with the same specs.
Reason I say that is because last week when I picked up my Volvo at the dealer I looked in the shop
and saw not "Volvo" coolant on the bench but some generic stuff you could get anywhere, and it wasn't even Prestone or such. I saw a delivery of fluids my Indie uses (he does all Euro cars) and it was all the generic fluids (oil, BF,ATF,Coolant) you can buy from Napa. Didn't see one container of a high end or OEM Brand. I asked him if he used Ate brake fuild and he said 'Dot 4 is Dot 4 isn't it?'.
My Porsche Indie DOES use Motul oil I have verified but he wants $25.00 a quart if I want to buy some.
Hell with that I run Castrol 5-40 Syntec like LM engineering recommends.
I think the dealers keep the OEM stuff in stock for walk-in guys at the parts counter.

i used mix of mobil 1 15-50 oil with 5w50 oil in summer and now for winter just changed it for clear 5w50 mobil 1 oil, plus 1 bottle of blue stp oil treatment for ZDDP additives.

cost is $50 for oil and something below $10 for STP. 30min DIY job.
