I doubt this will not happen and here is why. VW ponied up the money to bail them out. The bank debt was due and Porsche would have gone bankrupt otherwise. Is Porsche going to give VW their money back?

I am sure that VW is positioning itself vs Porsche. Porsche has been weakened by its attempt to take over VW ( a foolish move in my opinion). It may not be a merger but rather a takeover of Porsche by VW.
