If you do use the goop NEVER leave it in the tire for long. It will corrode your wheel. Ruined one of mine to the point where the bead would not seal. Tire shop tried to smooth it but I ended up buying a new wheel. Expensive lesson learned.

maybe I'm wrong but doesn't PCNA have the roadside service if under warranty (or does that only include warranty items/problems?)

road debris is covered by your car insurance. I got my car painted when the surface was pitted by a bunch of road debris thrown up by the car in front of me. It is a no-fault situation. I would consider making a claim. It can cover the tire, the tow, part of your hotel expense, but probably not the expired Sam Adams.

Don't any of you have AAA Gold? They tow you free, 100 miles, anywhere you want to go.

AAA premier 200 miles free towing

(I used it once for a 185 mile flatbed tow, and it amortized several years of premiums)

I'm drawing a blank - does roadside go away after the warranty is up?

Seems like an opportunity for a new product. If the normal sealant won't work, have a can of expandable foam that will fill the tire and give you enough support to get you to a nearby town. Might need to include a low pressure plug so you can jack the car up and inflate the tire just enough to give it a decent shape....then fill the gap enough to retain the expandable foam. If it could set up within an hour or so....better than some alternatives.

No overt mention of this by Porsche. Just a cursory "have tires replaced by a specialist workshop as soon as possible." This is under "WARNING! Risk of Accident."

Sealant ONLY works on a hole that can be plugged THEREFORE I would muuuuch rather use a DIY plug kit than this goop.

For you sealant fans lets review, shall we.

right - jack and plug kit is a better bet - and then you also get to see what you are up against.

Lots of discussion on this - so I guess the prospect of sitting by the side of the road and watching the sunset, then riding to Alabama in a flat bed truck, is not the "Porsche Lifestyle Dream" most had in mind? Seems the like the clever Germans could come up with a better solution - and then sell it to us.
