they make quite a few OEM setups... the calipers are the same they sell under Brembo name.. (notice, different calipers sold/made) 2 piston, 4 piston, 6 piston, ETC.
they make good brakes.. only calipers id rather have would be AP racing... or we Alcon.. MMmmm

The stock brakes are amazing. However I am now at a point in my tracking experience and skills that I am finding the limits of the stock brakes and could use brakes the size of what the GT3 or Turbo cars get.
I do most of my own service on my brakes and my calipers on the back side have Brembo stamped on them. If I were to move to bigger brakes I would go to GT3 or Turbo brakes or the Stop Tech Trophy series or Performance Friction series of calpiers and rotors and upgrade my master cylinder to a GT3 spec master cylinder.

I guess the question is whether you are planning to buy a car and modify it to race competitively and money is no object for modification. Like Mike (mdrums) I've been tracking my 997.1 and then 997.2 for many years. Are the stock Brembo-made brakes a limiting factor, I suppose so once you get to our level of driving. I don't believe the rotors are from Brembo, just the calipers. With proper fluid (I use Castrol SRF) and pads (I'm back to liking the Pagid RS29 Yellows) the stocks are plenty.

The rotors are POS for sure! You need 2-pc slotted rotors. Also need to upgrade the pads and fluid. Beware of the fact that track pads get loud once hot! They squeal like a pig on regular street driving.
Stock brakes are plenty enough if you're doing autocross or simple DE events. Unfortunately I am a little competitive and cannot stand being behind a GT3

What it looks like to me is you asked a question and it was immediately answered, along with several related opinions as to the capability of the calipers and rotors.

Stock Porsche brakes are absolutely amazing for being OEM! Being an intermeidate driver tracking my car, I still haven't maxed the stock brakes, while I did that almost first time tracking my S4, and M3 being much slower!
So, unless you experience fade with upgraded fluid/pads, I see no reason to mod the brakes.
The only areas they could improve is: (1) Slotted rotors (as option) instead of drilled, (2) 2-pc rotors (like GT3).
