Default Anyone with PCM in leather?

Still kick myself for not getting this option. Suncoast porsche said they could most likely get it for me if I gave them the VIN from a car that already has it.

If anyone has it in black leather in their .1 997 and wouldn't mind sharing their VIN i'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Yes, it is available in leather. They slice the leather very thin and apply it to the face plate.

WOW!! That is beautiful! Must cost a small fortune. Love the color of your interior.

Very nice. I have to ask how much does Suncoast indicate the upgrade would cost?

Looks kinda strange to me...maybe it's just the color pictured. Not having it certainly wouldn't (doesn't) keep me up at night...

The other considerable to factor in is what would it cost to replace that beautiful leather-covered PCM should the electronics go haywire? With some components it might be best to NOT spend the money on leather. I made that conscious decision on the PCM and my review mirror for that very reason. Things like that can fail--and can you imagine the wait time and expense from Porsche AG for a replacement??

holy hell, porsche will literally cover EVERYTHING in leather.

Be careful of women with long nails or that leather might get scratched.

Chris, FYI. A good interior leather trim shop may be able to do the same thing for you. Finding black leather to match up well with your Porsche leather may not be too hard to do either, since it's black vs Tarracotta for example.

I had a shop cover my fuse box cover in Sand Beige leather. Looks great!

Black leather: muuuuuuuuch better than the Volcano Grey.

IMO of course.

I venture to say that covering a fuse box in leather versus covering that PCM in leather are two entirely different matters. Porsche's leather shop uses CAD/CAM files to control a high speed water jet (adjusted for leather shrinkage) to cut the requisite template for each part in the car. Any leather shop would rake you across the coals on a one-off job--and it will look that way as well.

How the heck do you know this stuff?? Did you work in the Stuttgart building these cars?
Unbelievable!
