Default Sport Chrono rattle

Need some help from some of the more experienced members.

I have a bad rattle coming from the face of my sport chrono. The bezel around the outside front edge of the clock rattles when I tap it. Yeah I know, stop tapping it. Unfortunately it rattles when I drive also.

Any suggestions on how to remove, disassemble or stop the rattle. Can't find anything about it when I search.

Thanks in advance.
Dave.

You might want to check out this article, Dave.
May have to be a member to see the images.

Thanks. I can read the thread but can't see the pictures. Mine seems a little different though if I'm reading the other post correctly. The clock, or timer, seems to be very firm in the pod. It's just the front edge of the silver metal piece around the outside of the face seems to be loose.

What about a very-very small, and strategically placed, dab of clear silicone?

Hmm, after further inspection this evening it appears the entire clock module is loose in the pod. So I guess I'll need to figure out how to pry the pod off the dash.

No actually have CPO warranty for another couple of years. So could take it in, just thought it might be something I can fix myself. I seem to remember seeing instructions on how to do this somewhere, just need to keep looking.
