Had a new Pressure Plate & clutch installed on my '05 997S a few weeks back.
Periodically I have difficulty shifting to 1st from a green light for example.....
Is it possible that I need a shift linkage adjustment. It feels like its stuck between 1st & 3rd and can't find 1st.

Are you in a cooler area? Keep in mind that if you have a short shifter you will have a balkier shifter than the stock when things are cold.

I found moving shift lever slightly towards 2nd (not actually into 2nd) and then moving into 1st helps. As Dan said, if you have SSK this is a known issue when cold.
