I've picked up lots of useful info on that board over the years for my Pawxster.
Sad to see it go.

Great board, I started to participate back in 1997, and bought my first Boxster in 98 with lots of good insights from the board. Wonderful place to be, and I miss those countless hours I´ve spent at nigth while surfing, getting great info and leasten to a relaxing chillout sound, great times indeed. I´m said to see it go.

Like nearly everyone else, I began participating on that board nearly a decade ago. Glad it is going to stick around as it was one of the first Porsche boards on the net that I became aware of.

I was a frequent visitor from early 2002, when I bought my first Porsche, a 2000 Boxster S. Once I started (intensively) dreaming of a Carrera in 2007 I started drifting away from PPBB but it it's prime it was a good place to hang.
RIP PPBB

Yes, I feel the same way after hanging out there for many years. Many new friendships were formed as the result of PPBB. I got to know Todd, Eric, Bobby and Dennis in person, just to name a few who have given their thoughts here.

The guys in MD, NY and PA even formed ESBB, short for Eastern Shore Boxster Buddies. We did lots of runs together to socialize and some times eat at a crab place.

PPBB RIP

You will likely notice that odd phenomenon with most of the Porsche boards since most of the individuals on those board are fiscally successful/responsible enough to purchase a vehicle such as a Porsche.

I think you made a great choice Bruce... any regrets?

Regrets with the move from my 2000 Boxster S to my 2006 Carrera? None at all.
That said, I do miss having a convertable, expecially today. The Fall in NC is just beautiful top down weather. I also miss the mid-engine balance of a Boxster. The Carrera makes up for this with lots more torque and a pair of back seats (for my ever expanding family.)
So once I get the family into a bigger home (priorities!), I'll be in the market for a Boxster Spyder - to compliment my Carrera, however it may be a fews years before the prices decend into the $40's.
Hell I'd also like a 993 Carrera Coupe and a pre 1974 911 too - all in good time.
