Dan: can you use the new sensors in the 997.2?

It's my understanding that the 997.1 senders are different from the 997.2 senders. So far I haven't had any issues with them (knock on siliconized carbon fiber).

Default Battery life

I have a 2007 997S and the TPMS just went. So it's true batteries last 4-5 yrs. Has anyone tried the Titan aftermarket TPMS's?

997.1 TPMSs are at a different frequency than the 997.2, so they are not interchangeable.

With all the motion of the wheels every time the car is used, why can't some Porsche engineer invent a self-charging battery (or capacitor) system using this motion so the TPMSs never have to be changed under normal conditions? I've worn self-winding watches for years.

The TPMS on my 997.1 went out 3 mos ago. Dealer replaced all 4 under CPO. When I researched the topic at that time, I've read from 6speeders that this company carries TPMS compatible with 997.1 for a fraction of the cost as compared to the dealer price.

Do you share garage space with another vehicle with a TPMS installed? I had the same issue with a couple of mine that went away after I pulled out of the garage. Interference caused my problem.
