I am in Latin America, and I love my side view mirrors! That was one of the things that I liked about the car the first time I drove it, that it was very difficult for another car to hide in the blind spot.
I just went out and checked mine, ja! Only the left hand side one has the dotted line on the outer part.
I did not know that US cars had different mirrors! I am sorry for u guys!

Twisty roads in Toronto? Surely you jest ![Stick Out Tongue](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/tongue.gif)
I've got "dotted mirrors" on both of my UK spec cars and wouldn't have it any other way.

Except the mirrors are not required to drive the car on the twisty snow covered road. In these cars, there's no danger others will overtake, so you never need to look in those mirrors, on those roads anyway.

Wife has this on her Saab that we picked up on European delivery years ago. Driver's side only. In Sweden both mirrors have them. LOVE it, so much safer. I didn't know they were available for our cars. I will be looking into upgrading. Great post.

Here is a link to the aspherical mirrors from Suncoast.
When I get delivery of my 997 I am going to have them installed or try to do it myself.
