Default HELP! 2 CDs stuck in a single dash player

Wifey forgot to eject the disc in the single disc dash player before putting another disc in. Now both are stuck and the eject mechinism keeps trying to eject every time the car door is opened. Any ideas?

Wish I had a good answer, but sorry I don't. It just made me think that my first response (on impulse) would be to fish some type of instrument into the slot and get impatient...ending up badly no doubt. I do have one concern, but it is probably totally unrelated to your problem...when my PCM failed (single disc type, 05 model year), the eject mechanism tried to eject (no disc in place) endlessly and this ran the battery down. It might be worth standing outside the car for a few minutes, letting it "go to sleep" and listen to be sure the eject mechanism isn't running on. Again, this probably has no bearing on your situation, just a thought to watch your battery...good luck!

One can only think that this always was a potential problem with the design that doesn't indicate easily with am indicator light that the CD is full before you try to put another one in.

I would take a small tool like a small hook tool and attempt to retrieve one of them from it, but just go slowly. Of course, this is after you have done everything else like removing the fuse and doing a hard reboot.

Generic instructions from an old Car Stereo installer...

Try a bit of double stick tape at the end of a thin piece of metal. Try and stick it to the top of the CD. Use less than no force or you will damage components. If it doesnt come out without any fuss go to a place that can remove the unit and properly remove the CD.

Good excuse to trade the car in for a new Turbo.

Hell, it's under warrantee.

Have the dealer send a flatbed, and let Porsche figure it out.

A had a single CD get stuck once. Used very thin needlenose pliers to grab it. Worked perfectly. The CD is not in there very deep and is easy to grab. Try that.

Stuffing 2 CDs in there is a user error (wifey error), not covered. Thin piece of plastic laminate with some carpet tape did the job. Both CDs are junk now because the tape pulled silver stuff from the top of the disc.

I forgot how I did this and had to look it up again. This time wifey ejected the disc and did not know she had 2 discs in the case. Put two in at once. Guess what I will be doing later today? Maybe get her a changer with a magazine next year.

That's good to hear. Can you post pictures of the Viper Green GT3 RS in return for our top notch advice? Thanks.

Old thread but...
Wife complained CD player was not working. Mentioned this at service time.
No CD in player. I have the opposite problem. Can I borrow a disc?
