Will Beach Chairs Fit Behind Front Seats?
I know this is going to sound bizarre, but will a set of beach chairs fit behind the front seat in the 911? You know - the normal fold flat, beach chairs .
Me and the woman looked at one over the weekend and it kind of dawned on me that this is a need as opposed to a want. We go to the beach a lot and always have the beach stuff with us.
I already found out much to my chagrin there is no way that beach chairs will fit in a boxster = neither front or back. Cayman maybe under the hatch in the rear.
Any input?

I don't think you'll have a problem unless the chair doesn't fold flat. These would fit fine:
We have a few of these chairs and they are very comfy, cheap and fold into a very small size.

With a Targa, you'd even be able to open the rear hatch, with the seats folded down, it should be no issues getting them in (assuming they fold flat and their length is no more than the distance across the back.

Yeah these are normal sized beach chairs like in the pic of my first post. I could see the hatch on the Targa being mighty convenient.

With the rear seats up two standard beach chairs should lay in the back nicely (covered with a towel to keep the damage to the leather under control).

While I found getting them in and out of the car to be a real PITA (to avoid scratching the beautiful leather) two folding beach chairs easily fit on my folded rear seats in my 2008 997S a few months back for a local PCA autoX event.

I'm going to assume you're looking at a cab because...beach!
I don't know specifically about beach chairs, but I regularly put a full size hockey bag in the backseat of my cab without too much trouble. As another poster suggested, biggest issue will be not scuffing up the leather. The center hump in the back can force larger items to sit at odd angles which can cause a corner of an item to dig into the leather. Probably would want to put down a blanket before cramming something with exposed metal in there.
On a similar topic, I can also fit my golf bag and my son's (youth size) golf bag in the back after taking out my driver. Before buying the car, I spent a lot of time worrying about what will and won't fit. With the top down, you can get a lot in the back..
And, even though you didn't ask about it, I've also fit about $200 worth of groceries in the frunk. Bread and eggs went in the passenger seat though!
