Default Any "cons" to disabling PSE

Disconnected the orange clip that disables PSE. My car is not a daily driver and, when I do drive it, I prefer the more aggressive exhaust note. I put some electrical tape over the clip to keep it clean, but just have some lingering concern that things can't be that easy.

Any downside to this? Any issues in running full time with the PSE disconnected? Thanks, I appreciate the thoughts on this.

I had my PSE permanently "on" in my C2S and twice I had to have an exhaust resonator replaced (under warranty) because the little PSE flap would break and start to buzz loudly. I've always suspected that disabling the PSE permanently contributed to the failure. I think that the part is more prone to that sort of failure if it's not being used.
